Parkes Elvis Festival
The Parkes Elvis Festival is held around Elvis Presley’s birthday, 8th January, each year. Since its humble beginnings in 1993, the festival has grown to include a huge range of events around Parkes. The 2022 festival is themed Speedway, so expect to see plenty of car action.
Put on your Blue Suede Shoes and get All Shook Up on this three-day celebration of everything Elvis. Staying in nearby Orange, the best events are included to share with your fellow Elvis fanatics, and you’ll have plenty of leisure time to explore the festival and see your favourite things.

Departing by private aircraft, fly to Parkes in central NSW, where your Elvis extravaganza begins. Meet up with your fellow Elvis fanatics and head into town. C’mon Everybody - it’s time for Rubberneckin’ at the participants, the outfits and the cars! Most of today is yours to explore the Parkes Elvis Festival at your leisure. Scan the program to pick your must-dos, or just wander around the city centre – Elvis is everywhere!
Tonight you can put on your Hi-Heel Sneakers to Shake, Rattle & Roll to an Elvis tribute band, before heading to Orange for the night.

Happy 87th Birthday Elvis Aaron Presley. Transfer to Parkes and start the day with the iconic Street Parade. See an Elvis movie, dance to an Elvis tribute band, check out some classic 50s and 60s cars, wander around the markets, join a rock ‘n’ roll dance lesson, or just sit and watch the non-stop entertainment on the main stage. Many of the 200+ events are free of charge or incur a small charge.
In the evening, Rip it Up at a feature concert where you’ll see a top Elvis Tribute Artist perform. This celebration of the music of the one and only King of Rock’n’Roll will make this a night to remember. It’s your chance to frock up and get your Elvis on one last time! At the end of the show transfer back to Orange.
After a leisurely breakfast, tour a few of the best wineries in the Orange region, learn from viticulturists about their wines, and sample some of their wares. With rich volcanic soil from nearby Mount Canobolas, Orange has the ideal conditions for cool climate wines. After lunching on a selection of locally sourced delicacies, it’s time to head back to the realities of life, arriving home in the early evening.
