Bespoke Adventure to the Kimberley

Where the journey is as important as the destination

Our latest adventure was in August with a Bespoke 17 day tour to the Kimberley where we took 6 guests to discover the natural beauty of this region. This trip was a longer version of our 14 day Top End / Kimberley Tour. In this case our guests had some places on their bucket list and we were pleased to be able to make it happen for them. Visiting an astounding 10 iconic Australian locations, we asked our pilot and tour leader, Keith to give us his thoughts on the highlights.

Bullo River Station was definitely a highlight. It’s a 500,000 acre privately owned working cattle station situated in the south western corner of the Northern Territory. It has an abundance of outdoor activities for guests, including horse riding, late afternoon sunset drinks in the horse yards, a helicopter flight to an amazing rock pool, fishing for the mighty barramundi in the Bullo River and tours with the staff as they did their day-to-day cattle work.

Another highlight on the tour was the iconic Ayers Rock. It’s always a special moment as you fly across the flat desert and then there it is, in company with the majestic Olga’s. Our guide outlined the ancient history and cultural significance of Ayers Rock and we visited multiple picturesque locations. The day ended with an outdoor dinner under the stars as part of the renowned Sounds of Silence experience. As darkness fell the next night we went on the Field of Light tour and watched as the entire area lit up with an amazing 50,000 lights.

We flew Jo Mercer to the Outback

Popular women’s footwear retailer

We recently had the privilege of flying the Jo Mercer team, including a New York based Australian model, to the Gawler Ranges for a promotional shoot of their Spring/Summer range. They wanted a stunning remote location and so we suggested the Kangaluna bush safari camp and the surrounding salt lakes.

The promotional video does a fantastic job of showcasing the beauty of the area and it was amazing for us to be able to introduce it to the Jo Mercer crew.
