LAKE EYRE & TASTE of the OUTBACK Tours are Happening!
We have now completed 12 trips to Lake Eyre “Taste of the Outback” including 3 Bespoke tours, some via Ayers Rock. We have many more 2, 3 and 4 day trips scheduled. The water is still flowing in the Warburton Grove and Belt Bay and the southern end is still quite deep. The contrast of water and salt areas makes it spectacular and Pelicans are often sighted as they move around. The Lake Eyre Yacht club always has the latest status. Heavy rain occurred about 2 weeks ago and some more this week and possibly throughout June. The surrounding country looks amazing. One (maybe two) seats are available on a special 2 day Taste of the Outback tour this weekend. Departing Sunday in the King Air we fly to Wirrealpa Cattle station east of the Flinders Ranges. Lunch here, then onto William Creek via a scenic flight over the whole Lake Eyre. Overnight at William Creek Hotel then drive out to the Lake edge in the morning before flying back home. 1. Rotary
Various Rotary Clubs have experienced our social night of drinks, cheese and nibbles with access to all our aircraft and an informative/light-hearted presentation of our operation. Our biggest event was for 41 Beaumaris Rotarians who enjoyed it so much they published it in their newsletter.
2. Travel Agents
25 local Travel Agents attended a similar information night. We have already had some success as they have been able to sell some tours. This is greatly appreciated.

We assisted in an opening night for a retail outlet in Lynbrooke where we offered visitors the chance to fly a desktop simulator and try to land at Mt Hotham. Anyone that did not crash went into a draw for a flight in our full motion simulator at Moorabbin. Many crashed but we had a winner and he came to Moorabbin with his 12 year old son and they had a great flight. BESPOKE TOURS ARE INCREASING
We are continuing to get more interest in these trips. As mentioned above we have done three this year and are quoting on another three as we speak. One goes across Lake Eyre up to Katherine and then over to Karumba, Cooktown and the Great Barrier Reef then home. One is 6 days to Arkaba, Parachilna and Kangaroo Island in South Australia. The other is a potential photograhic Kimberley trip. The last one includes Birdsville, Lake Eyre, cattle stations and the Gawler Ranges. Keep them coming and email us with any query.

WILDFLOWERS With all the rain we are hoping the flowers will be massive in August September. Gawler Ranges, Flinders Ranges, Innamincka and Birdsville should be stunning.
Tony K drove our Toyota to Muloorina Station last weekend. It will remain there for the season to assist in Lake Eyre tours. 17 Hours of driving and visited The Prairie Hotel and Wirrealpa Station. Photo below shows the Prairie and driving past Lake Eyre Yacht Club.
