Taste of the Outback Tours season closes for 2016
The word from our local guides at William Creek, Muloorina and the Flinders Ranges is that 2017 could be an even bigger year for Lake Eyre than 2016. We’ll be watching the Lake Eyre Yacht Club status page as well as keeping in contact with our guides over the summer in preparation. The beginning of October saw our last two Taste of the Outback tours to Lake Eyre for 2016, with increasing temperatures and evaporation beginning to dry the region. Despite this, significant life and greenery is still present from Birdsville right down the Diamantina to Lake Eyre – a particularly unseasonal phenomena that’s made for a spectacular backdrop on our tours. In 2016 we’ve completed 26 tours to Lake Eyre and Central Australia, making it our busiest year for Lake Eyre since 2011. Keep an eye on our tour dates for next year, as we’ve already scheduled a dozen trips with more to be put on as demand increases. Barnbougle and Cape Wickham
Last week our first golf charter for the summer saw the King Air take a group of eight guests on a trip organized by Golfer Escapes, visiting Barnbougle and Cape Wickham. Pilot Darron enjoyed his stay but failed to remove any strokes from his handicap. Email us to get your trip together!

Thursday Night Joy Flights
See the city lights from the air
On the first Thursday night of every month we’ll be offering joy flights over the Melbourne! Its a 21 minute flight which includes two orbits of the CBD. Seats are available at $99/head! Flights are conducted in our Piper Navajo/Chieftain, with club leather seating and air conditioning – perfect for summer. Email us to reserve your place!
Yarra Valley Wineries Tour
Another first for summer 2016/17
Last Saturday was our first Yarra Valley Wineries tour after the winter, and pilot Nick along with Stuart and six guests flew in to visit Yarra Valley Dairy, Coldstream Brewery and Fergusson Winery. These tours are available on request throughout summer, with minimum group size of 4.
