UPDATE: Cirrus Around the World Trip World Record
Ryan Campbell’s Cirrus Around the World Trip World Record
Ryan departed Wollongong on 30 June 2013 in his historic attempt to be the first teenager to successfully fly around the world single handed. He is currently in Oshkosh, and continues his flight tomorrow. The attempt is in support of “Youth in Aviation” and the “Dare 2 Dream Scholarship Fund”.
According to Ryan’s current schedule, he plans to arrive in Broken Hill from Alice Springs on Wednesday 4 September. This is his last stop prior to his departure for his original starting point of Wollongong on Saturday 7 September.
At this stage, we are proposing a flight up early on the Wednesday morning, with a return flight to Moorabbin later that afternoon. The flights will be in Piper Chieftains and/or Navajo, depending on the level of interest.
We are also proposing a 2 day trip which includes a tour around Broken Hill.
We understand that the Nine Television Network are following the story with interest, which may culminate in a documentary down the track.
