Recent Tours and Charters
The last of our 4 day Tasmania and Bass Strait Islands tour was completed on March 2nd. Our clients enjoyed it so much “quote… a marvellous trip and loved the railway at Strahan and the catering on King Island….we will be going again”
As mentioned above, the Lake Eyre Taste of the Outback trips have proved successful. Our pilot, Rob Papov, took the 3 day trip with 7 passengers and Tony Wood flew the 4 day trip. The trips are similar except the 4 day includes Broken Hill and Mungo. Both versions have been well received by our passengers. The photo by Rob Gullan shows how green is some of the country around Lake Eyre.
The 6 day Lord Howe Island tour over Easter has just returned. WOW… what terrible weather for the first few days as Australia’s East coast was battered. After a great day and night at Cessnock Spicers Vineyard Estate, Kirsty landed at Lord Howe in the Super King Air. The photo shows a happy group about to leave Lord Howe.
More Stunning Golf Courses Coming in 2015
While Barnbougle Golf Course has been such an Australian golfing wonder there is more coming to King Island as well. Cape Wickham as seen in the photo, is a stunning course on the north east coast and will open in Nov 2015. We plan to arrange golfing tours to both these locations so contact us if you are interested. See website
Those who remember Pungalina Station
Owen Davies who was our manager at Pungalina… the “Quintessential Bushman”, has at long last completed his book “Walking With Dingos”. It tells of his struggles and adventures in the development of this remote station by one of Australia’s great outback characters. Tours with Owen as tour guide are still on our future agenda and would be such an experience. The book is $45 including Australia wide postage. Email for a copy.
Air Charters
Various corporate charters across the fleet including a flight to Bairnsdale, a charter to Flinders Island and Devonport for a day’s business, another urgent delivery to Adelaide for a well known entertainer, a flight to Bathurst races over Easter and more Government charters.
