Depart for Charleville in central Queensland. After lunch, visit Save the Bilby, whose vision is to save the bilby from extinction. Meet some super cute bilbies and learn all about them and the quest to keep them in the wild.

Visit the WWII Secret Base, outlining Charleville’s role with 3500 US Army Air Force personnel during the 1940s. Explore the interactive exhibition and learn some fantastic stories!

After dinner, the Charleville Cosmos Centre unlocks the universe with an unforgettable stargazing experience, with powerful 14” Meade telescopes and the Planetarium.

Fly further north-west to the outback mining town of Mount Isa. First visit Outback at Isa, where you can discover Mount Isa’s mining, rodeo and ancient history. Lunch in the café and wander at your leisure. Then uncover the story behind Australia’s only underground hospital. Explore the four tunnels, fitted out to resemble the 1942 original layout.

End your day relaxing in the picturesque surrounds of Transport Bay. Experience the serenity with sunset drinks and a light dinner overlooking Lake Moondarra.

North-west into the Northern Territory and across Arnhemland, the next stop is Davidson's Arnhemland Safaris, set in an aboriginal sacred site, nestled against the Arnhemland escarpment, east of Darwin. Rise early this morning to spot some of the countless wildlife. Skim through forested waters as your airboat hugs each bend. Learn all about the fauna that inhabits these environments, from barramundi to brolgas and, of course, the prehistoric saltwater crocodile.

The afternoon may be spent on a tour, relaxing on your verandah or by the pool, enjoying magnificent views over the plains. 

After a relaxing morning, fly southwest over the border into WA and Kununurra.

Head out to the enormous Lake Argyle, more than 18 times larger than Sydney Harbour, created by the Ord River Dam. Join a cruise around the lake's northern end and some of the 90 islands and inlets it offers. You may spot rock wallabies, crocodiles, wallaroos and a diverse range of birdlife. Sip on a drink as the sun sets behind the Carr Boyd Ranges and enjoy.

2 nights: Freshwater Apartments, one bedroom apartment

Fly out to the Bungle Bungle, landing at Bellburn airstrip on the southwest corner of World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park in East Kimberley.

A local guide will lead you on an easy-to-moderate walk through the famous eroded towers and black and orange-banded beehive structures of the Domes Walk, the awe-inspiring natural acoustics of Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Creek, which only flows during the monsoon waterfall season. Learn about the Kimberley climate, the six seasons, and the unique flora and fauna that are so crucial to the land's traditional custodians.

Back in the air, your pilot will provide a fantastic view of the domes from above before continuing back into Kununurra.

Fly further west to Cygnet Bay at the tip of the beautiful Dampier Peninsula.

Enter into the epic story of the Australian pearl from its indigenous beginnings through to the four generations of the Brown family who have been pearling and living here since 1946.

After a tour of the pearl farm, breathe in the Kimberley Coast sunset with drinks and a treat of pearl meat.

After breakfast, take in the beautiful views of Cygnet Bay and learn about the entwined indigenous and pearling history of the area on a Borrgoron Culture & History tour. A relaxed morning allows you to have a wander before lunch in this gorgeous part of the world.

Take off east over the incomparable Kimberley Coast for a very special experience. Sir David Attenborough called the Horizontal Falls one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. Formed by some of the largest tidal movements in the world, the swirling waters of the Horizontal Falls are a natural phenomenon. Massive volumes of water squeeze through narrow cliff passages, with the rapid-like formations creating the unique sideways waterfall effect. Fly low over the falls for an unforgettable view, before tracking back southwest into Broome.

Check in then head down to the Cable Beach House for what is most likely an amazing sunset over the ocean, with sundowners and dinner to finish off a spectacular day.

Overnight: The Pearle of Cable Beach

Travelling back east into the NT, you're bound for Kings Canyon in the Red Centre.

Drive to your accommodation – luxurious tents with lounge, outdoor deck, air-conditioning, and views out into nature. Light-Towers is an immersive sound and light installation by Bruce Munro. A local guide to will introduce you to the Light-Towers story, while you enjoy drinks and canapes as the sun sets.

Overnight: Discovery Resort Kings Canyon, glamping tent

At sunrise enjoy the easy one-hour leisurely Kings Creek Walk (suitable for most fitness levels). Meander alongside Kings Creek to the floor of Kings Canyon. Along the way see birdlife and lush flora, reach the track end, and look up to the stunning sheer Canyon walls! As the sun rises, the sandstone becomes a stunning array of oranges and reds.

It's just a short hop next to the magnificent Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Stop for lunch at the Pool Bar at Sails in the Desert; then, it's time for a private Uluru tour. Embrace the culture, geology, and environment of Uluru. First, take a short walk into Mutitjulu Waterhole, visit rock art sites, and go to the local waterhole with your guide to learn about Uluru's significance to the local Anangu people. Continue driving around the base, with a stop to experience part of the Mala Walk. At the Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing area, watch, drink in hand, as sunset brings out the magnificent colours of Uluru.

2 nights: Sails in the Desert, superior room 

Revel in the early morning serenity of a truly spiritual place as the sunrise colours change on Kata Tjuta, while you enjoy an outback picnic breakfast. Learn about this diverse environment by walking between the mighty conglomerate rock walls into Walpa Gorge. Your guide will explain how the many domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years Visit the Cultural Centre to support the local community and deepen your understanding of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Return to the hotel after a picnic lunch and the afternoon is yours to do as you please. Visit the town centre, join one of the resort's free tours, purchase one of the many available tours, or lie by the pool and relax.

Dine under the stars this evening. Travelling out before sunset, take in the incredible view of The Rock as it changes colour as the sun sets, before an experience to remember. Tali Wiru, meaning 'beautiful dune' in the local Anangu language, encapsulates the magic of fine dining under the Southern Desert sky. Instead of walls, this open-air restaurant has magnificent views of Uluru and the distant domes of Kata Tjuta, and for a unique ambience, there's the stillness of the desert at night.

Before sunrise, go out on a self-guided walk around Bruce Monro's now iconic Field of Light, aptly named Tili Wiru Tjuta Nyakunytjaku or 'looking at lots of beautiful lights' in local Pitjantjatjara. Return to the hotel for breakfast, and then it's time to leave the Red Centre.

Fly to South Australia with a scenic flight over the incredible Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. Magical!

At Leigh Creek, in the heart of the Flinders Ranges, a local guide will meet you as your pilot refuels and relocates the aircraft. Tour the excellent fossil site at Nilpena Ediacara National Park on the former Nilpena Pastoral Station grounds. This is one of the most significant fossil sites in the world. The Ediacaran fossils preserve entire ecosystems of half-a-billion-year-old lifeforms, enabling scientists to gain an unparalleled glimpse into the origins of life on Earth.

On to Parachilna and the historic Prairie Hotel, built in 1876, an icon of the Flinders Ranges, renowned for its fabulous food.

Overnight: Prairie Outback Lodge, outback room

This morning tour through the incredible Brachina and Parachilna gorges, two spectacular geological formations. Brachina Gorge is often called a geological trail through time, showcasing over 600 million years of Earth’s history. Look out for the cute and rare yellow-footed rock-wallaby.

Back at the Prairie, your final lunch together is their signature grazing lunch before rejoining your aircraft. Fly over ancient Wilpena Pound and then journey home, ending an epic discovery of our magnificent and diverse country.
