Prepare to be mesmerised as you venture into the extraordinary realm of Coober Pedy, a destination unlike any other on Earth. Your morning tour unveils the interesting tapestry of this unique town, offering glimpses into its fascinating history, vibrant cultural mosaic, and the subterranean marvels of its opal mines and underground churches. After lunch and tracing the Oodnadatta track, fly to William Creek, the closest town to Lake Eyre North.

William Creek is famous for its pub, one of the most remote in Australia. Late afternoon, experience the magic of the Painted Hills on Anna Creek Station, the world's largest working cattle station, about 6,000,000 acres. Board a Wrightsair aircraft with a local expert for the short flight to the Painted Hills. Covering an area of 20x18 kilometres, the multi-coloured, pristine sandstone hills of varying shapes and sizes emerge suddenly out of the flat desert landscape. The hills' deep red is due to iron oxidation in the rocks, while the white sections are where iron has leached away. Wrightsair has exclusive access to land at the airstrip near these hills, and you can walk around this remarkable landscape. Return for a refreshing ale at the hospitable William Creek Hotel, with quality outback pub grub for dinner.

Back on board your aircraft, prepare for an awe-inspiring scenic flight over the breathtaking expanse of Lake Eyre, known as Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre, traditional home to the Arabana and the Dieri People. Whether it's the stark beauty of its dry, flat salt plains or the rare spectacle of an oasis emerging from desert sands after Gulf rains, Lake Eyre captivates with its ever-changing landscape. Fly low and slow over the great expanse of the lake. Touch down at Muloorina Station for a tour and lunch hosted by the Station owner. The station has an intertwined history and connection with Lake Eyre. As the day draws to a close, return to Moorabbin Airport around 6:00 pm, enriched by the memories of an extraordinary adventure.
