Announcing Our Newest Tours
Every year, Australian Air Safaris crafts new journeys that showcase the diversity and wonder of Australia. For 2026, three new tours join our stable - each created to highlight something truly extraordinary: a dazzling seasonal spectacle, the vast drama of the north, and the rich wildlife of the south.
Here’s what makes each of them extraordinary.
Hunter Valley Lights (3 days / 2 Nights)
Imagine stepping into eight acres of glowing gardens, alive with millions of lights that sparkle against the summer sky. The Southern Hemisphere’s largest Christmas light display is a genuine spectacle - but feasting your eyes on this stunning display after a day of fine wine, long lunches and vineyard visits makes this a truly festive escape.
The Hunter Valley Lights tour is our only Christmas light flyover, crafted for travellers who want to mark the season in style. Yes, the lights are breathtaking - but Christmas is also about feasting. Across three days, you’ll move from cellar doors to kitchen gardens, pausing for degustation dinners and slow lunches where every plate celebrates local produce. It’s indulgent, joyful and festive in every sense.
- The only Christmas light flyover on our calendar - a rare seasonal experience
- A three-day celebration of food, wine, and festive spirit - Christmas reimagined for food lovers
- See the Hunter Valley at its most enchanting, with lights and landscapes in full glow
- Perfect if you love indulgent long lunches, fine wine, and a festive getaway without the fuss
The Savannah SkyWay (14 Days / 13 Nights)
The Savannah Way is one of Australia’s legendary journeys - 3,700 kilometres from Broome to Cairns through quirky outback towns, tropical savannahs and the Northern Territory’s Top End. For most, it’s an adventure that means a lot of time driving off road. But for us, it’s a chance to take the hassle out and reimagine this epic journey from the air.
The Savannah SkyWay covers the full sweep of this iconic route, plus more, in just under two weeks. With 30 hours of flying, you’ll spend less time on the road and more time in the places that matter: exploring ancient lava tubes, cruising through red rock gorges, and flying low over the Horizontal Falls, once described by Sir David Attenborough as one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. This is a journey designed for variety, with active days and quiet evenings in hand-picked lodges, all seamlessly connected by your own private aircraft.
- Traverse the full Savannah Way without weeks of driving - see more in less time
- Active, adventurous days exploring gorges, lava tubes and escarpments, balanced by comfort each night
- A front-row seat to iconic wonders like the Horizontal Falls and Kings Canyon, seen from both land and sky
- Ideal for travellers who crave variety, adventure, and the thrill of experiencing Australia’s north up close
Southern Wildlife Air Safari (15 Days / 14 Nights)
Wildlife lovers have long flocked to our Northern Wildlife Safari - but the south has its own extraordinary stories. That’s why we’ve created the Southern Wildlife Air Safari, a 15-day journey that captures Australia’s wild side across the southern coastline.
This is a tour where every stop feels like a scene from a living nature documentary. One day you might be spotting wombats in East Gippsland; another, standing at the base of Cradle Mountain; later in the journey, you might see orcas off Bremer Bay or go swimming with wild dolphins in Port Lincoln. The encounters are diverse - from land to sea to air - and always unrushed. With three-night stays in key locations, there’s time to immerse yourself in each place, while enjoying the comfort of properties chosen to match their extraordinary settings.
- A southern complement to our Northern Wildlife Air Safari - new habitats, new stories
- Encounters across land, sea, and sky - from marine life to alpine wildlife and vast outback plains
- Relaxed pacing with three-night stays in key locations, so you’re never rushed
- Perfect for nature lovers who want immersive wildlife experiences, paired with comfort and conservation insight
New Horizons in 2026
Each of these new tours has been designed with a simple aim: to create experiences that are as memorable on the ground as they are from the air. From the glow of Christmas lights and the joy of festive feasting, to the drama of the north and the wild riches of the south, these journeys are an invitation to see Australia differently.
Naturally, our tours can book up quickly, so it always pays to be early. But remember, you can still book a private version of any tour with a group of friends or customise a bespoke itinerary, tailored to your preferences. With Australian Air Safaris, the adventure is always extraordinary - and always yours!
