December 2017 Newsletter – Christmas Greetings

Wishing You a Safe and Merry Christmas from the Kirkhope Aviation team

It’s that time of the year again – the Christmas season has crept up fast. We hope that you will have a safe time with your family to build new memories and cherish old ones. With a great year behind us, we’re looking forward to a huge season in 2018 filled with amazing tours.

2017 has been a great year!

Quick recap on our most popular tours

Taste of the Outback tours are still popular with the beautiful white salt crust, giving guests the chance to walk on top of Lake Eyre. We were lucky and were able to take 15 groups of visitors this year.

We also designed and conducted a number of successful bespoke tours. In particular, a fantastic 17 day tour through some of Australia’s bucket list destinations.

Some memorable trips this year include the Jo Mercer photo shoot in the stunningly beautiful Gawler Ranges and the music festivals at the Big Red Bash and White Cliffs.

January island getaways

King Island, Flinders Island and Tasmania

The Australian summer brings out the best in the South.

Immerse yourself in island life, dine on fresh seafood, world-class cheese with perfect wine pairings while exploring the astounding landmarks along the way.

With the season in full swing, we have a number of upcoming tours ranging from 2-4 days available starting in January until March to Flinders Island, King Island and Tasmania.

Start your 2018 on the right foot.

Southern Cross Glamping

The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival

Your next 2018 adventure awaits. We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with our friends at The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival to offer fantastic fly-in glamp-out packages.

A complete package including return flights, a fully furnished luxe tent with a concierge and a 4 day Adult VIP pass to the Festival. It’s the most stylish way to arrive and experience this uniquely Australian festival.

Tasmania and Bass Strait Islands

Our first tour of the season

November’s Tasmania and Bass Strait Islands tour was a great four days away for our two couples. The simply fantastic weather on Flinders Island didn’t last the whole trip, but blue skies and white sandy beaches certainly kicked things off well.

Crayfish are in season on King Island and our guests were treated to a private dinner in Wild Harvest Restaurant in Grassy. Pilot Nick had never had Crayfish before the trip, and hasn’t stopped raving about it since returning to the office.

Operations Manager, Keith, recently rode in the 9 day Great Victorian Bike Ride with his daughter.

It was a total of 529km, before the big wet forced it’s cancellation 2 days early.

Great work Keith!
